Karidat holds a rummage sale once or twice a month

Housing

One month rental assistance when funding is available

Thrift Shop

Open Monday -Thursday from 9:00am- 12:00pm (Closed on Legal Holidays)

Victim Advocacy Program

The Victim Advocacy Program provides advocacy and support for victims of crime.

We provide crisis counseling, case management, court accompaniment, information and referral, and assistance with the filing of a temporary restraining order (TRO) towards an Order of Protection.

Comprehensive Services for Victims of Human Trafficking

Through this program, we provide a wide range of services to address the individualized needs of human trafficking victims from diverse backgrounds.

The Comprehensive Service Model includes intensive case management, shelter/housing, food, medical, and dental care, mental health treatment, support groups, translation services, immigration and other legal assistance, literacy education, job skills training, and more.

Guma’ Esperansa

Guma Esperansa means “House of Hope” is the only shelter in the CNMI for victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking.

Founded in 2001, Guma Esperansa provides sanctuary, counseling, and advocacy for victims and their children. All shelter services are free and confidential and are available regardless of citizenship, ethnicity, or immigration status.

Victim Hotline: 234-5100

The Victim Hotline is a 24 hour crisis line for victims of crime, especially victims of domestic and sexual violence.

Callers are given information on violence and the dynamics of abusive relationships.

Callers may also be referred for other services.

The Victim Hotline is an anonymous and confidential service for victims on Saipan, Tinian, and Rota.

Catholic Charities U.S.A. Disaster Services

In the aftermath of a disaster, Karidat provides food, water, and personal hygiene products, as well as deeper assessment of personal needs. We work with our community partners to connect disaster victims with the resources they need to recover.

Karidat works with Catholic Charities USA and our partners in the CNMI and National Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster (VOAD) networks.
